Or even just the perception? Like, Putin could tell the world “actually, I flipped votes” even if he didn’t actually, and what would/could Trump do in retaliation? Does that make sense?
Anyway, I’ve said from the beginning that the election was such a million-in-one threading of a needle that it strained credibility. For now, I’ll go with the Russians hacking and giving DNC data to the Trump campaign that they used to suppress votes in exactly the right states.
But, honestly. There’s an unteathering of reality here that feels like something beyond even Kafka-esque. I didn’t steal the votes, but will tell people I did if you don’t do what i say and if you don’t do what I say I’ll tell them what I did, but didn’t really do, but they’ll believe I did I.

I agree with what Van Jones said on CNN this morning-Robert Mueller is not Harry Potter. Democrats are wasting all this time pinning hopes on that instead of working on viable candidates and strategy to defeat Trump. It's the economy stupid. Gas prices, tariffs, health care costs, cost of living, Medicare and Medicaid. That's what's going to matter. Pointing out with concrete examples and statistics until they're blue in the face how these tax cuts benefit the wealthy. They need a solid more moderate candidate.
The issue is that currently economic growth is surging.
It won't last, and we're headed head straight into a hurricane once again... but it's hard to convince the voting public that this surge in growth is a bad thing.

Kind of reminds me how in the 90s, Democrats didn't care about all the Clinton scandals because the economy was doing great back then.
For the midterms, expect to see nothing really change because the economy is doing well. Even CNN admitted today, it is partly because of Trump.
