I also have to agree with others. The same foolish CW that has been consistently wrong about Trump now wants to crown Fiorina and I thought she was one of the worst on the stage last night. She's a fired CEO who lost the only election she's ever run for. She was also part of Lucent and Lucent went from a HUGE success to in the tank after they misreported their earnings and (also) the tech bubble burst. Forget Trump, if she gets more traction, this shit will destroy her candidacy becuse others will use it. this mentions some of it: Donald Trump: Carly Fiorina was even worse at Lucent than at HP - Fortune Fuck her. She's an atrocious candidate. Might explain why currently she is the darling of the punditry class from last night. |

I just loved them trying to out-hipster each other with their "Hey man, I defunded Planned Parenthood before it was cool" fight.

*cough* As much as I agree that was amusing, I just want to reitterate, again, that at LEAST Kasich followed up his comments about defunding it with the fact that he still wants to pursue alternatives.

Yeah, while I didn't watch the whole thing, the little I heard from Kasich left me thinking "well, he seems at least somewhat reasonable and sane."

Rubio is the best debater.
Fiorina is clearly the smartest of the bunch, she can whip into specifics about anything without much prompting and doesn't get phased up there. Christie chiming in on the Trump/Fiorina feud was so smug and desperate...reminding me of Newt Gingrich winning the Georgia primary because in the debate prior to it he was asked about cheating on his spouses/hypocrisy and then blasted the media (so, cheating on a dying wife of his won him a state). It was just so forced and Christie wants to be the loudest guy in the room in order to get attention again. Paul is obviously the most reasonable on drugs/incarceration/foreign policy. Not like it matters. Don't give Kasich too much credit. His true policies and ideas are just as heinous of the rest of the field, even if he's willing to be sensible on a few issues. Walker and Bush are the has-been front-runners and just seem pretty adrift out there. Still not seeing how Trump can really falter in the polls. If the first debate didn't stop him, why would the second? His base clearly could give two shits about actual policy specifics. It's pretty telling that there's been no major endorsements (from Governors, Reps or Senators) of any of these candidates for nearly a month now. Makes it pretty likely that Romney could be thrown into the ring in order to stop Trump (+ other outsiders) and/or a long primary. His base alone would make him #2 in the polls and he'd eventually pull ahead of Trump once others exited the race. Couple that with his newfound likability among the general public and the fact that he'd unquestionably fare the best against the Democratic challenger and it's almost a no-brainer. When Romney walked away from the race earlier this year, he figured there were going to be a couple of front-runners and that he'd have a hard time arguing for people to support the last election's loser...obviously, him and his team had no idea that it was going to turn into a crowded 17 person field with the celebrity candidate taking all the oxygen. It's literally the same situation as 2012 for Romney. The hardcore right-wingers won't be able to coalesce behind one candidate in time and Romney's base of 20-30% off-the-bat will be enough for him to ultimately win it. |

Debate tickets went to big donors. Follow the applause lines.

Another entertaining debate...Rubio sweating profusely and drinking water when he thought the camera wasn't on him. Big ears did sound pretty good though. I though Rand Paul made some decent points about drugs. The TRUMP! vs Bush and TRUMP! vs Fiorina stuff was funny. I still don't think TRUMP! said anything of substance the entire night, but he is still the reason CNN gets 23 million viewers for the debate, i suppose. The guy is fun to watch.
Kasich was the most decent guy on the stage, as everyone has pointed out. & Te6 Cru666 is still the anti-christ with his fake car salesman approach and slimy snake oil charm. Can't beLIEve anyone falls for that shit. Seriously...fuck that guy. I didn't bother watching Jaundice, Ass Juice, Grinder, and Pancake at the "kids table" in the early debate. However, this picture is rather telling: ![]() F AMERICA, guys, thats mostly the GOP plan with a few exceptions. |

Kasich gets bonus points from me for reminding me of George's boss on Seinfeld.

Yeah. Speaking of, they (govt) have been telling us (govt employees) for several months now that 22 million of us had our identity stolen in a series of hacks from China, Russia, etc. They are supposed to notify us personally if our personal info has been part of this breach. Yet neither myself or anyone i know has received such notification. How many damn people (past, present, future) work for the damn govt? Oh yeah, thanks a lot leadership, personnel! TRUMP! was right about one thing at least; our leaders are stupid!!
