ok...get this

The last time my sis and I played open mic the manager of star bucks which she works for came to hear us.

After he asked us if we would play down atthe store on a regular schedule. so we said maybe.
Anyway, today I walk into starbucks to pick her up from work and what do I see above the bar?

a big ol' sign saying
"Come see Christina and Kirk
Aug 5, 7:00-9:00pm"
and a cartoon pic of me and sis
me holding an acoustic guitar!!!

thats crazy,
I'm nervous now!
2 hours

anyway,
We're playing open mic again tonight
I'm more comfortable there in the bar atmosphere...I wonder why....?
We're doing

Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
Elliott Smith - Between the Bars
Elliott Smith - Happiness
Sinead O Conner - Nothing Compares to you

(maybe a Velvet Underground, U2 or radiohead)

anyway, thats where I'll be tonight!

way to go with your sexy voice bass

that kicks ass bass! good luck tonight! :D

:drool: ------> your voice...

Congratulations!

That's GREAT!!

I saw a guy open for Neil Halstead ( ) last weekend and he was SO awful. If he can make it with HIS voice, you should have no problem! :D

You GO boy!!!!

HELL YEAH!!!! GO BASSY!!!!!!

I want a videotape!!!!!!!! JK good luck!!!

*sends bassy Golden Badge of Courage*

I'll be the invisible one in the back cheering you on!!!!:sexywink:

great
we did the above 3 songs plus
Radiohead - How To Dissapear Completely

I'm nervous about the starbucks thing though
we gotta get 2 hours worth of material

well, to be honest, with the covers we now plus the original stuff we have more than that but I'm still unsure about playing and singing my own songs.
blargh

anyway...

suggestions...

what would be a nice cover to do in a starbucks atmosphere?
