i have a literary heritage class and we have to do a poetry presentation of a poet, and choose 3-4 of their works. so, i was planning on doing U2. i mean, songs are just poems put to music, right? :D

so, i was going to pick a song from each era, so i could fairly represent all of their work. the second song i want to use is from the period where they got really well known, during the late 80's.

so, the second song is from the albums the joshua tree and rattle and hum. so, just pick whatever song you think i should use. unfortunately, you can only pick one from each period. thanks for all your help!

Of those songs, I would choose Running to Stand Still

"You gotta cry without weeping, talk without speaking, and scream without raising your voice."

Either that or Mother's of the Disappeared.

awesome, everyone's leaning towards the ones i was thinking of using...

it's a toss-up for me really between rtss and motd. but i'm afraid if i did do motd, i'd start crying or something.
