I remember when I was in junior high, and for some reason I hung out with a bunch of people who had a lot of rigidly defined art/social rules, and they sort of arbitrarily decided who was a "real" fan and who was a "poser." I now find it ridiculous.

Just like this argument. After the proportion of my last year's income that I spent on U2, no one is going to tell me that I'm not a real fan of theirs just becaus I don't own, say, the bootleg backwards German limited edition copy of Melon.

Although I do like EBTTRT.

Hmmmm....EBTTRT is one out of....how many songs U2 has done? Even if someone doesn't like it, it's not like it outweighs the countless other songs they do.

As for me, I like it, but I've got 7 songs on Achtung Baby alone that I prefer above it.
