it's alright song , but Bruce did much better job with something like this ( Streets Of Philadelphia ) .

...... 5 mins later after second playing

well it's ok song , irish pop rock , Bono Loves Corrs !!!!!
i'm confused , very ......

Yes, I like this song a lot. I'm very pleased. This song could easily get them a nominaton at the Oscars for its connection with The Gangs of New York

I'll try to send it to you. So don't get freaked out when "Gina" starts randomly sending you messages.

All I can say is WOW...Beautiful piano intro with which I believe violins. When the chorus starts and after Bono says America I hear someone sort of whispering I don't know who it is (I think Bono) or what is being said. If you hear it with headphones you'll hear it on your left ear. The second chorus the samething but I think "the journey is, the journey is" is being said. I don't know why but it sounds like Leonardo DiCaprio's voice...maybe not, too early to tell.
Overall, I love it! I can't stop playing it.
Will definitely get an Oscar Nomination and hopefully win.

The intro is one of U2's best and the violins sound excellent. I think its reminscent of songs like Miss Sarajevo, Your Blue Room and Ground Beneath Her Feet. I am impressed! And it sounds fuck all like a Madonna song!!

I really like the instrumental backing during the opera wail part. Adam really comes through with the bass during that part along with edges piano keys that are the same as the nice intro to the song.

They shoud have made a whole instrumental track out of that part.

After ten or so listens i would rate this song a 6.5 or 7 compared to other U2 album songs, but a "8" as a sountrack song.

Big Grin

I'd give it 8/10 right now as a U2 song

well, i hope one of you re-encodes the mp3 to 128kb, because i don't feel like downloading a 9 meg zipped song, plus the site is dead for me anyway.

Right from the start, I was very impressed.

The enchanting piano echo and strings gave me goose bumps. One of the best intros to a U2 song (reminded me of the dramatic October intro). If you haven't heard it yet, YOU NEED TO.

After several listens, I'm really getting into it, and frankly it would be difficult for any American to not be emotionally moved by the song's lyric and tribute.
