Phoenix mp3s at u2achtung.com....anybody read French?

The mp3s sound really cool!

But....

I can't read French!

What are yoiu supposed to do with the encores that are zipped!?!?

Obviously you can't just rename them or "unzip" them (I tried that).

Anybody know what to do with these files?

Could ya walk me through step-by-step?

Help.....

All I did was rename the file.

instead of .zip I changed it to .mp3 and it worked.

I tried just renaming the file..... (walk on.mp3)

but it just activates winzip. It doesn't actually change the type of file it is.

You are using a Mac, aren't you? I hate Macs.

Rename them all MP3s, and open your MP3 player. Open the MP3s that way, rather than double-clicking them.

I didn't try opening the file with the mp3 player....

I'll give that a shot.

Can these files be converted to WAV files and burned?

The directions in french say what I'm about to say here

You're not actually changing the file extension. you're just adding .mp3 to the filename. So, instead of it looking like this: d2t05.zip, it ends up looking like this: d2t05.mp3.zip

The end result is the same, windows only pays attention to the final .xxx extension.

You need to go into any file folder, and up top, click on Tools -> folder options -> then the View tab -> then UNcheck the "hide file extensions for known file types" box. Then, when you rename, you'll be changing the real extension, and the file will run in winamp.
