No, the decade-old video didn't get enough votes to get in the countdown, but a viewer requested it by email, and Carson (who again admitted, "I love U2") was happy to oblige.
They played *most* of the Berlin video (cutting a little of the intro, and the entire falsetto ending) and covered it with one too many graphics. But I'll take what I can get ('cause it's all that I can find).
As an aside, they preceded "One" with Mandy Moore's "Crush". It features Mandy singing with a non-descript band playing ACTUAL INSTRUMENTS, and I believe that's a first.
I myself attribute it to U2's use of instruments in Beautiful Day, Walk On (which is also back in heavy rotaion in MTV and VH1), and Elevation.
But, then there's the Stuck video...
And one more reminder to those over-zealous, overaged Mandy Moore fans. Yeah, she *may* be cute, but the law still applies:
Fifteen gets ya twenty.
