:shrug: Don't know why, but when I've heard them speaking on U2 Rattle and Hum, or the Pride documentary on U2 Go Home, Larry's accent is very strong, very punctuated, even when he's cracking jokes ("I want that bit edited!"). Just something I've observed, that's all.
