Fox News rates HTDAAB #1 album of 2004...

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

why is it that the "peace and love" liberals spew out the most venomous and and hateful posts?

just an observation.

that would be called "stereotyping", young man.

No kidding. But there are enough people saying "The media is very left wing" that people actually believe it. The same way they believed that Kerry is a liberal. He isn't, he's center...right of center actually. But there are enough people saying he's extremely liberal that many people actually believe it. Say it often enough and it becomes true (even if it isn't).

exactly. it's funny talking to americans when they come up here, they're quite often surprised to hear or see non-american news on the tv or radio.

and kerry wouldn't even be a liberal by canadian standards. maybe...but i highly doubt it.

fox news really makes everyone up here laugh.

i don't know about you, but news isn't supposed to make you do that.

This thread cracks me up.

Incredible. I would venture to say that Fox news is not as "ultra" right wing as some make it out to be, just like those here who say that "no media outlet is totally left wing."

It's all in how you define things, which will tend to be biased by what you actually believe.

Kudos to U2 for making a #1 album list in any national publication.

I, for one, don't think the album should be on anyone's top ten list, but ironically, I tend to like Fox News.

Any list that doesn't include "the best album of 2004" (Green Day's American Idiot) is a total joke.

Funny....if this was a NY TIMES article praising U2, somehow I don't think there would be as much heat as there is because it's from FOX....... So much for "tolerance and acceptance."

HUH? C'mon, we are talking about Fox News here. Would YOU want their praise? It's kinda like getting asked to the prom by the ugliest girl in school.

Fox News is not ultra right wing. It is, however, ultra ridiculous. I watch it all the time. It's a sick compulsion of mine, a bit like looking at a traffic accident or pornography or hockey fights. I love it. God help me, I do love it so. As long as you don't take them seriously as a news organization, they can be really fun to watch. Last night, for example, O'Reilly says the Atlanta Journal-Constitution dropped him as one of their columnists, "so you subscribers might want to reconsider." How do you not laugh at the notion of all those Fox-watchin' red staters, God love every simple-minded one of 'em, cancelling all their subscriptions at the direction of Bill O'Reilly?

You have to love Bill, cuz, dammit, he's looking out for us.

LOL, I don't take any of the TV news orgs seriously, anymore. I mean what do people recommend?

As for American Idiot... LOL... I remember people on here thinking of that album as just being Green Day by the numbers or dismissing Green Day b/c they still have anti-Dookie snobbishness but now that the "best of" lists have come out and Green Day is topping a lot of them as well as selling tons of CDs, American Idiot has become the new Tommy or Quadrophenia... Oooookay.
