I am going to go with this one...(for now)

the part in acrobat from "oh, save me..." all the way to when the chorus comes back in at "and I must be an acrobat..."

That is one of the most powerful moments I have ever heard in music, period.

Let's hear yours.

Dunno how long it is but....

Definately The Edge's solo in The Fly. Makes an amazing song even better.

In a U2 song ... I'd say New Year's Day ...
The opening intro through Bono's 'Yeah' scream ...
sends chills through my spine every time !! :hyper:

In a performance ... I'd say 11 O' Clock Tick Tock (Live At Red Rocks) ...
When Bono sings 'Will you dance with me ? Dance with me ?'
and then we hear Edge's AWESOME guitar take over while Bono goes in the audience to find a girl to dance with ...
and after he finishes dancing with the girl, Bono sings 'Call out your name ... Call out in shame ...
Call out your name ... Call Out !! ... Call Out !! ... You better call out' ... then Bono picks up the girl and spins her around while Edge's guitar takes over again until the end of the song ...
Edge's guitar playing was absolutely CLASSIC! :applaud::applaud:
Bono spinning the girl around onstage ...

it does the same for me

i'd also add edge's solo in uteotw (not sure how long it is though)

UTEOTW...pick any 30 seconds of this song and you got it.

ok...i'm kinda just kidding...maybe i'd pick the beginning bass part leading to edge's guitar at the very beginning of the song.

One of my favorites is only a smidgen of 30 sec--the part in Dirty Day when Bono says, "Some things you can't get arooooound" and his voice totally reverberates...

The intro to COBL--I fell in love with it the first time I heard it, and it's lasted.

And I love the anticipation of the beginning of Zoo Station. It's so exciting to hear that and know that Achtung Baby will be coming.

The solo in Kite, and the "I'M A MAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNI'M NOT A CHIIILLDDDD.....

I swear to God, you beat me to it. I listened to this song when my Grandfather passed away just over a week ago.

The "ohhhhh ohhh ohhh ohhhh" part of WOWY...

Gets me every time.

Also the very end of Please from "love is big, is bigger than us" on is  inducing.

Last but not least, one word: BOOM-CHA

The ending of The Fly (specially live).

The intro to Streets.

The "hey baby, hey baby, it's alright, it's alright" part in Zoo Station.

Edge's solo in The Electric Co.

The "Soul, the goal is soul" in the live versions of Beautiful Day.

The ending of Gone.

The last "I'm wide awake" moment in Bad.

The ending of Electric Co.

Those are all number ones to me. U2 has some of the best climatic endings ever. I think only Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band can match them there.

The live Streets transitions -- take your pick. My preference is Please.

The first choruses in Do You Feel Loved and Ultra Violet.

The ending of Sometimes, starting with the falsetto...

The whole second verse of UTEOTW -- might be more than 30 seconds, probably is.

Ending to Walk On, doesn't matter what version.

- the solo in All I Want Is You
- the last 30 seconds of Heartland
- the solo in 11 O'Clock Tick Tock
- the last chorus of Bad
- the last chorus of Gone
- the drum solo in Rejoice
- the "shine like stars" verse during WOWY in Rattle and Hum
- the opening of Spanish Eyes

And that's all I can think of right now.

Tough to pick but 2 that come to mind are Sometimes(the opera bit) and One(love is a temple---->Sisters, Brothers)

Yeah, very hard to pick, but the ones that came quickly to mind were Edge's 11 O'Clock Tick Tock solo, the All I Want Is You/Streets segue at Slane and any 30 seconds that include "It's a Beautiful Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, don't let it get away."

#1 the solo in THE FLY & the solo in ACROBAT incl the machinegun drum break of larry
#2 the closing section of LAPOE & the rocker outro of ABOY
#3 the first 30sec of PRIDE & the 3rd verse of UTEOTW
(In my dream, I was drowning my sorrows
But my sorrows they'd learned to swim
Surrounding me, going down on me
Spilling over the brim
Waves of regret and waves of joy.
I reached out for the one I tried to destroy.
You, you said you'd wait till the end of the world
)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned just about my most chilling U2 moment.

2:21 - 3:15 of Miracle Drug

Starting with Bono's muted "ohhhh yeahhhhh"s all the way through to Edge's "I was a stranger, you took me in."

Best 54 seconds in the world.
