I like knowing what music other people enjoy. I know there are a lot of ppl on here who dont have U2 as their fave artist.
So If they arent ......who is and what position does u2 come in at?
For the record, U2 ARE my fave followed by James.

U2 are my all-time number one, but I'm also a big fan of:

Led Zeppelin
Queen
The Beatles
I'm also partial to some of (though not all) Oasis's tunes.

U2 are #1.

They're followed by a group that gets re-shuffled depending on my mood.

REM
Pearl Jam
The Cure
RATM
Nirvana

REM is usually #2

Pretty solid #1

1. U2
2. Bruce Springsteen
3. David Bowie
4. Franz Ferdinand
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers
6. Arcade Fire
7. Explosions in the Sky
8. Dave Matthews Band
9. The Police
10. Led Zeppelin
Honorable Mention: The Beatles

U2 #1 by far.

Followed by Bowie, who I was completely consumed by thru the 80's. Also like The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Ramones, Bif Naked. Oh and Weird Al, I like him.

Weird Al is brilliant...he needs to do a few more U2 parodies.

I've seen Weird Al in concert  He puts on a great show! Took some great pics!

(Also was at a party with him in the eighties, he was nice :cute: )

U2 was number one until a few months ago, when Smitty de-throned them.

1. Michael W. Smith
2. U2
3. Jars of Clay / FFH / Relient K / Casting Crowns

I've been fortunate enough to have seen 5 of these 6 in concert so far.

U2 is number 1 by the length of the straight.

I have a whole gaggle of artists after that. Anika Moa, Brooke Fraser, Opshop, Split Enz, Kanye West, REM, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Go-Betweens etc etc

U2 is my favorite, they always will be.

REM is a very solid 2nd.

Pearl Jam, Zeppelin, Radiohead, Catherine Wheel and Rush are the next level, then a ton of others make up the 3rd wave.

#1. U2
A Very Very close #2. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
#3. Pearl Jam
#4. Led Zeppelin
#5. John Mellencamp

Honorable Mentions (i.e. bands whose songs often get stuck in my head on a very frequent basis)
-REM
-White Stripes
-The Beta Band
-Radiohead
-Jack Johnson
-Pete Yorn

Porcupine Tree are fairly safely my #1.

1. Porcupine Tree
2. Pure Reason Revolution
3. The Shadows
4. U2

Right now it's as follows...
PORCUPINE TREE
NEIL YOUNG
U2
and let me add if I were only choosing based on they're last two albums U2 would be about 25 or 30 on the list.

U2 have been pretty solid at number one since about '02.

Position 2 has been occupied by Live (former £1 and £2 during 02-04), Oasis (05-mid07) and more recently Travis (mid07 onward)
