i can only interpret it from my own experience, so take it with grain of salt. ;)

i think maybe it has to do with him feeling like he's not good enough for the girl that he's singing to. that maybe he loves her so much that he wishes he could be the guy that she deserves.

maybe he gets down on himself for that, and she in turn thinks that it's because of her.

maybe he's trying to tell her, 'it's not you, it's me.'

or maybe i've said too much. :silent:

i think bear should weigh in here.

i think you're pretty much spot on, but thanks for asking anyway... ;)

if i were to describe it, i'd say it's kind of like this:

if you're miserable in a relationship for almost no reason other than the fact that you're actually in a relationship and you can't even begin to understand WHY, then you have noone but yourself to blame.

this happened to me a month ago when i broke up with my girlfriend.

there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, she was great. really, and i have no reason to make that up.

but i didn't want to be in a relationship, and i couldn't figure out why. it made no sense why i couldn't love her, but i couldn't. and it pissed me off.

and that's why i needed to explain that it was me i didn't like...

and did she accept that? or was she pissed off?

just wondering.

(you don't have to answer here if you don't want to.)

thanks girl :sexywink: ,man :sexywink: and bear

well hitman's interpretation is slightly on the positive side

it also has

"How can I get closer and be further away'

so actually he wants to be closer and without any commitment kind of thing ..and if there is something wrong ( which can be improved) its because of himself..

well its close to what suits me :)

thanks guys

no, she took it well. we only saw each other for a few months, nothing too serious.

it comes down to the fact that it would really seem at this point and time, my dreams consist of seeing the world, and not the world inside of a woman.

that could very well change, but at this point i don't know anymore. i know i want a daughter though, so sooner or later i'll have to confront that.

when you're done, you should post them all in one post. makes it easier to analyze and that sort of thing.

nicely done, acrobat. it's also particularly rewarding to see airbag in someone elses top 10.

if you remember this thread

http://forum.interference.com/t66396.html

In 2002, Airbag was No. 4 there ( if you exclude U2)

But then I hadnt heard " I stay away" by Alice in Chains, Or Porcupine Pure'S "pure narcotics"..

You must have tried AIC but I think you must try "pure narcotics".

And some other songs have climbed up the ladder for nostalgic reasons.

oh, he did, bear! he DID!!

just like you did when you said, 'lettuce kids kiss lips'.

remember that? do you??

lettuce all kids kiss lips, guys!!

let the lists bring our lips together!!!

p.s. i  your choice of #1, acrobat man. and kudos on keeping to the spirit of the original thread.
