how was metric live?
really fantastic. if you ever have the opportunity to see them, or even just emily haines on her own, as she just released a solo album, definitely GO. i've seen them twice within the last year and they put on a really good, high-energy show.

i totally have a girl-crush on emily.

^awesome, i'm so happy for you. :D

my aunt owns a bar/club (not in my city though sadly) and she's had metric several times. i'm jealous. :grumpy:

i was looking on emily's site the other day, her myspace actually and heard a song from her solo album (coming out in this tuesday in the states i think)...anyway it sounded really good, i'm excited. i'd love to see her live, or with metric of course. it sucks not having any friends that like my music though.

Saw David Gilmour earlier in the year. After a drought of several months, in the next two months I'm seeing The Killers, INXS, Elton John and Gordon Lightfoot (shut up, I like him, he's a Canadian icon!).

Metric played U of T during frosh week, and I hear they were incredible.

The morning of the Roger Waters show in Toronto earlier this week, I pulled up front rows in the closest section to the stage - 109, I think, but I had to let them go because I couldn't make it.

It's again 1 1/2 months after the last update, but the schedule has changed a bit:

Concerts in the past:
10 March: Admiral Freebie, Melkweg, Amsterdam
10 April: Morrissey, Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam (not a highlight)
6 May: Waterboys, Vredenburg, Utrecht (excellent concert!)
5 June: Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris, Ahoy, Rotterdam (Emmylou!)
25 June: Robbie Williams, Arena, Amsterdam (I think I was one of the few Dutchies who had a nice evening that day)
28 July: De Snevo's, De Parade festival, Utrecht
18 to 20 August: Lowlands festival, Biddinghuizen (I saw full sets by Razorlight, Snow Patrol, Urban Dance Squad, Michael Franti & Spearhead , Iggy & The Stooges, Johan, Morningwood and Muse)

Concerts in the future:
30 August: Pearl Jam, Sportpaleis, Antwerp
13 October: Bruce Springsteen & The Seeger Sessions Band, Ahoy, Rotterdam

Concerts in the future I can't go to anymore:
