Give it a few spins before you come to any conclusions. The Shins music is deceptively simple. Or in other words, there is a lot more to it than you notice at first. I listened to thier CD obsessively for like 6 months and never grew tired of it. It was like cocaine or something (not that I would know) it was so addicting. So anyway, I hope you enjoy it because if you do you are in for an amazing little treat.

Yeah, let's hear it for New Mexican bands. WHOO.

Anyway, I'll toss in the New Pornographer's "Mass Romantic," the Beatles' "Eight Days A Week," Oasis' "Rock 'N' Roll Star," and Pete Yorn's "Murray." The stuff just gets in your ear and won't get out. Like otitis. Except pleasant.

Haha, yes, "Mickey" is a VERY catchy song...you can't help but at least tap your feet to it, even if you hate it...it's annoying that way.

Anywho, I agree with a lot of these (hehe, I like that "Clint Eastwood" song by Gorillaz).

A couple of other ones:

"Build Me Up Buttercup"-Foundations
"Come On Eileen"-Dexy's Midnight Runners

Beck's Nicotine & Gravy is INSANELY catchy. White Stripes' Seven Nation Army is pretty catchy too.

i was in germany when gorillaz "clint eastwood" came out...i heard that song SO MANY TIMES...that and uptown girl and i will survive...and the occasional it's raining men. those 4 songs were 90% of the music in germany at that point.

what? there is a topic in this thread?...

i've had the scientist in my head for a while now. if i ever have a song i don't like stuck in my head, i sing stay to myself and it usually goes away...so i guess stay is catchy too.

Anything crappy that I hate will usually end up in my head.

Say, Eminem or Kid Rock, stuff of that nature.
