 Why? Does it sound too much like Kid A for your tastes?

I'm waiting on OK to finish playing and then I'm gonna listen to it.

It actually sounds fair.

But there's WAY too much hype for an average at best tune. Granted, after the last few crap albums it's an improvement. My instincts tell me RH will screw up the recorded version beyond recognition.

speaking of kid A ...I would have loved to seen Brau's face the first time he listened to Kid A:giggle:

I was stoned.

I thought it was interesting.

The problem was the next day, while sober.

QFT. The Kid A treatment with the new songs would = something beyond our wildest expectations.

Going back to The Tourist.

Listen to it right before Everything in Its Right Place.

Thank me later

Gonna do that right now... as soon as The Tourist (which is now playing  ) gets over. Arpeggi will have to wait for a bit.

What does everyone think of Pablo Honey?

I've kind of warmed up to it:

Stop Whispering
Blow Out
You
Creep
Anyone Can Play Guitar

I love Pablo Honey. It's a completely solid album that I can comfortably listen to without skipping a single track (unlike OK). And Blow Out, Lurgee, and You are even a Bends level of greatness.

And it's hard to beat the chorus of Anyone Can Play Guitar.

Great question! I only bought it like a week or so back and am still warming up to it. I have loved Creep and Stop Whispering ever since they showed up on MTV in 1993.

The only album that I skip through a lot is Hail to the Thief.

It could be their only mediocre album:

There There, Go to Sleep, Where I End and You Begin, Sail to the Moon, and 2+2=5 are great, but that's it.

Gagging Order being from that era certainly helps, but not by much

Gagging Order is my favorite:

1. Gagging Order
2. The National Anthem
3. High and Dry
4. How to Disappear Completely
5. The Tourist

And if Looondon burns
And if the world doeeess turn
I'll be standing on a beach with my guitar!

I wanna be in a band
When I get to heaven
ANYONE CAN PLAY GUITAR
And they won't be nothing anymore!

I didn't find Arpeggi special or memorable. :reject:

I honestly wasn't a huge fan of it for a while either. But after, I don't know, a dozen listens, it's become my favorite of the new songs by far.

Come to think of it, I don't see what's so special about Gagging Order either! It's nice but nothing extraordinary... Lift is better, much better!
