Thanks for the link, mofo. I just went and checked it out... whoa. I'm very jealous of everyone who's going to see them on the upcoming tour.

And everyone will be proud to know that I have finally ordered Amnesiac. I know, I know. It's about time!

Uh, no. Not even one song!

Am I gonna love it?

In other related Radiohead news, the girl at the snowcone place was listening to Where I End and You Begin today. I must frequent her snowcone stand more often!

Really? That's cool then, you'll be able to hear it for the first time. It's great, I listened to it nearly daily the summer it came out.

I havent had a snowcone in quite some time, I'll have to fix that problem...

My snowcone today was half candy apple and half cinnamon... You must eat at least one per summer, as far as I'm concerned.

I'll let you know when Amnesiac arrives, if you're up for discussing it.

Sounds good to me! (both the snowcone and discussing Amnesiac)

My wallet was stolen last night, along with my Yankee ballcap.

Electioneering is my new favorite song.

mmmm. snowcones & amnesiac. makes me miss summer vacation.

I finally found a great soundboard recording of Radiohead's Glastonbury set from this year. The Gloaming REALLY is better live. Different, but still intensely moving. I'm still working on a RH mix for RSOSF & U2popmofo. Sorry about the delay. I suck.Sorry.

Guess what came in the post today?

Now if I can ever stop listening to Black Market Music, I'll give it a go.

OK, my search is FINALLY over! I've been scouring Soulseek for about a month and just last night found a soundboard recording of Radiohead's "2$ Bill" performance for Mtv. I actually yelled with glee when I came across it. It sounds so good. Dead good.

Congratulations Ma Bell, tell us all what you think after ya listen.

Heads, it would be nice if you'd give me your soulseek username so I could download it from you....

I almost yelled with glee when I read that. I will have to reserve yelling until I can possibly find it though.

[edit]: P.S. You can see No Surprises, Punch-Up, and 2+2=5 live from the Beacon theatre show on http://launch.yahoo.com/destinations...ons/radiohead/

radiohead is their artist of the month.

Okay. I made it through the album once this evening. Like Kid A and HTTT, there was only so much my brain could understand and process on the first listen, and I left my headphones at work, and so had to listen to it rather quietly on a giant stereo. But here are my first impressions:

I was impressed with Sardines and Pyramid Song. I was especially interested in PS, as the Radiohead quiz we all took awhile back said that this was "my" song. My favorite song was Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors. Something about the beat was just so . That song I listened to twice. Whose Army, I Might Be Wrong, and Knives Out were all interesting, but I need to hear them some more. I really liked the version of Morning Bell. It wasn't better or worse, just different. I remember thinking Dollars and Cents was pretty damn cool, but Hunting Bears kind of freaked me out. As did Spinning Plates, although as the song went on, I really started to dig it. Glasshouse was excellent, I thought--another song that got better as it went on.

So that's my raw first impressions after one listen that was less than ideal. Plus my brain is fried from a rough day at work, so I'm surprised I'm even coherent at this point. Anyway, I think I'll really like it once I give it a few more spins. Then maybe I'll have some more comments.

Actually, it would be pretty cool to print out what I just wrote. Then a year or two from now, when I know the album like the back of my hand, I could go back and see what my initial feelings were.

And now I'm babbling. So I guess that's it!
