He did say that, he basically was talking about how they respect them greatly as a band and how they didnt want to disrespect bands like the Stones, but they havent put out a good album since 1972.
They also cited The Smiths, Pixies and U2 as thier biggest influences... I think u2 and radiohead are in love now......and it excites me.. |

not to mention, atease sure looks purty these days......
Noel comments on Radiohead Oasis' Noel Gallagher commented on the new Radiohead sound, saying, "I heard the single. I like it because it doesn't annoy me. But then again with Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood in a band, they're going to be great, put them together and you get genius." "But I don't get the whole angst thing," he mused. "I don't likeThe Vines, except for 'Get Free' - great track, but what have they got to be pissed off about? They live in Sydney, the most beautiful city in the word. The Coral come from Liverpool and they have the right to be pissed off, but they write beautiful songs about how great life could be - they are geniuses. "Radiohead have sold twenty million albums and they're still miserable? I can tell you from personal experience - it's not that bad. Trust me." |

I actually subscribe to Spin, but I have not yet received a new issue. How did you EP? Through trickery or witchcraft?

from NME
THOM YORKE performed a solo version of 'TRUE LOVE WAITS' to end the band's thrilling tour of tiny UK clubs last night. The band, who have been on the road for the last week playing their smallest British venues in six years, ended the tour with a two-night residency at the London Shepherds Bush Empire (May 24-25). At the final show, which was recorded for future broadcast on MTV, Thom came back after the encore on his own to play the song - which is adored by hardcore fans and rarely played live. The song is so rarely played, Thom had to stop the song twice because he'd forgotten the words. Both times he ran to the first row of the audience to ask which line he'd missed. Radiohead played: There There 2+2=5 The National Anthem Lucky A Punchup At A Wedding Go To Sleep Kid A Myxomatosis Backdrifts Sail To The Moon Sit Down Stand Up No Surprises Talk Show Host Where I End And You Begin Paranoid Android Idioteque Everything in its right place I Might Be Wrong The Gloaming Just Like Spinning Plates Pyramid Song Karma Police True Love Waits Radiohead fans will now have to wait until next month's headline appearance at the Glastonbury festival until the band play live in the UK again. See this week's NME for a report from the first dates of the tour, and next week's for all the latest news from Belfast, Edinburgh and Manchester. |

That article flips my switch if you know what I mean (flips it into the "turned on" position).
On another note, I read somewhere that Go To Sleep is supposed to be the next single.....I'm not sure if I agree with that choice at all (then again I havent heard the final mix of the song). |

![]() The single mix for There, There was well worth the 3.99 (Thom's vocals seems crisper and more open than the Radio version I've heard), but I didn't enjoy the b-sides as much. Maybe I have to give them another listen... I also bought a live EP from a few years back, I think it's an Asian import... looking forward to hearing it (no KidA though). |
