The man in the white shirt is President Lula de Silva - the President of Brazil (or as my Brasilian friends prefer - Brasil).

Bono met with Pres. Lula yesterday to talk about ending extreme poverty.

thanks for this - what I like best is that Bono recycles a quote from Larry circa Rattle and Hum (and credits Larry as well) to describe the setlist by saying "It's a musical Journey"
