An horizon laid bare, covered in a restless heat
Becomes no stranger to its aching nerves or tiredness dried of wisdom
Where one falls, a new one rises to sleep to let its heart tighten
Where another one fails, another one learns to reject its life

No resolution so high, or ambition too deep rooted
Can dim the blood of a soul undisturbed..masked of identity
No promise too empty, or lustful revenge to keep open
Can erase each passing memory unheard or to leave content in its death

A sun burnt out from its wasted breath, left breathless in silence
Its last scream left to roll down the valleys for a lifetime
Its immortality cast away, a single melody without its voice
Blinded from what it could never see, once captivated by temptation

Spared a blessing, a mourning light left to untangle its consciousness
Carved deep into its heart, deep in isolated ignorance
Shining like a dark promise, to leave its emotions rooted in pleasure
Never to rain happiness but to lead happiness astray

Revenge left to consume its own, to burn its own cloud of doubt
Bathed in daylight and to remain worshipped throughout the night
To swim within its own fever, to inhale its failed regret
Its fears and anxiety written deep on its apprehension

Neglected of uncertainty, left to move blindly without caution
Its future already killed off by unrelenting fears
A freedom to cherish, its need to love and be loved
A rose to kiss and embrace, its thorns to kill silently

For what heartache the sun can offer once blinded in eclipse
A wandering spirit can escape within its own pain
Tempted back by natures thriving lips and fateful offer
Shall be left a kiss to leave them blackened in vain

Love drenched in the tears of a grieving reality
The night lost within its own endless shadow
A warm beauty enchanted in immortality
A burning rose left for an eternity to grow...

.~.this started out much more positive..its all still there..just a bit deeper underneath than I had intended.~.

Wow, no one commented on this?! I love that last line.

It's very densely written, maybe no one had the time to fully absorb it. I need to read it again.
