Fly Away

I woke up with the sun this morning
Everything seems so clear
I saw the path lit up by a ray of sun
There is nothing I need to fear

The life I lived before is ending
There are no more excuses for sorrow
I can hear a cry from deep in my soul
To fly far away from here tomorrow

I can fly high over the ocean
I can start a brand new day
I am stronger now than ever
I finally found the way
I'm gonna fly away

The tears that won't come are gone now
I can feel my heart growing strong
There's a love within that will conquer
All the things inside that were wrong

A new life is waiting for me to live
I will do it own my own
All I need is the faith from my heart
I can feel how much it has grown

I can fly high over the ocean

I am stronger now than ever

Take a look at my eyes that are speaking
Listen to what I thought was hope but is desire
I have found that feeling inside me
Love will take me higher and higher

I have not posted in a long time because of personal reasons. I was watching U2 on VH1 tonight and got inspired. U2 is so good for that! This poem is for anyone who has gone through an emotionally abusive relationship. I have truly flown away!
