this kiss to sustain life as close as i'd get
but i'll still be gasping on living this death
my mind's all brainwashed, my wishes all wet

could host to over six billion carriers, and the one i get stuck with
i'd take enemies, i'd take cancer, even leeches of old friends

we've spoke, we've joke, spilt thoughts til we've choked
and now we don't really talk til the silence casts our votes
on what to do about sitting around
the honesty still feels close, but only our hopes hit the ground

and another scenario wasted
thought so deep i could taste it
the devil lurches with tall tales
purses as reward if all fails
