I think it’s both a projection of themselves, and a pandering to the Q crowd. They know millions subscribe to it and therefore cannot remove them from the voting booth.

How many times do GOP rail against homosexuality or child pornography and later on they are caught in either category.

What i don’t get from the Dems is refusing to attack when the GOP do something so blatant.

We had a GOP senator come out and specifically state he wants interracial marriage removed and handled on a state by state basis.

Every Democrat, every dem party platform should have been playing that over and over.

The guy didn’t even really walk back what he said, claiming misunderstood the question but watching the video the interviewer clearly stated the question and made sure senator understood

You can still go High when the others go low, but that doesn’t mean you don’t attack at all.

The projection is learned behavior from Mango Mussolini.

The pandering to the far right and to the Q-Nuts is a calculated gamble in that they believe the majority of the American electorate doesn't pay attention to this shit on a day to day basis. Which has proven to be correct.

So they can play footsie with this crowd, which increases their base, and then every 2 years dial it back just enough to pick up the average schlub who doesn't know who is running for Congress until November and maybe watches a single debate during presidential elections.

Bad for democracy, good for consolidating power.

They've always done this, btw. They probably thought they went too far when Trump actually won the nomination - but once he actually pulled off the upset in November 2016 - it was game on.

Because she’s a judge, not a politician. Nuance and deep understanding of the law is her job.
