Overally as an album it is after Pop the weakest together with War. It was only the live performances that did some justice to these very good song.

1. Kite -- Sydney 2005 made this one soar, gorgeous and resonant, it's why we love U2
2. Beautiful Day -- all-time global classic, thrilling ending
3. Stuck in a Moment -- sturdiest melody since ISHF, fantastic bridge, passion
4. Walk On -- too U2 by half, but a classic, so effortless, awash in good vibes, you feel like you can do anything when it's playing
5. When I Look At The World -- the ignored smart kid of the group
6. In A Little While -- great singing, cool lyrics, a bit of a snooze live
7. Wild Honey -- breezy and effortless, B&E in total synch
8. Elevation -- works live, but sounds lame-o and dated these days
9. New York -- interesting only because Bono confesses to some Bad Things, but mostly forgettable
10. Peace On Earth -- swing and a miss, strike 3
11. Grace -- i can't even remember what this one sounds like
 
I wonder why they completely omitted When I Look from their live playing (except one time fan request). That song is so powerful, meaningful and it seems most of the fans love it. Whatta shame.

Always a little surprised by the hatred for Wild Honey and Grace. Neither are *great* songs, but the former has a stellar chorus if you ask me, it's at odds with the rest of the song, but Edge's guitar playing in the chorus and Bono's vocal delivery always get me. And the latter is just really fucking nice. Not trying to be anything other than a slow little ditty and it achieves that through some restrained music and a good lyric and vocal from Bono.

We can at least all agree that this was the last great period for non-album material, eh? Hardly a winning B-side or leftover track since and most of the singles from the last ten years were loaded with dull remixes...

Summer Rain...Levitate...Ground Beneath Her Feet...Always...Flower Child...Stateless, etc. I also don't have anything against fans saying the album would be better with half the tracks switched out for this material...it's really just down to personal taste as these non-album tracks are pretty strong across the board.
 
Since 2001 it's pretty much just been Fast Cars, Smile, Mercy, Are You Gonna Wait Forever, NLOTH2 and The Crystal Ballroom. Six good non-album tracks in 13 years.

ATYCLB is not a favourite of mine, but it does have a few good-great songs. I'm including TGBHF because it appeared on my UK cd and also the album is pretty low in qiality if you don't include it.
