Is it even worth booking a hotel as opposed to an airbnb (for example)? I'm looking at certain hotels, and the hotel fees are crazy

Wondering if its better just to get an airbnb and car rental, then just park at the MSG / Venetian parking for "show" day(s). I could even Uber it there from the airbnb and not worry about parking at all even.

should be. pools typically don't start closing until middle of October. obviously it's weather dependent - but earlier in October you're more likely to see upper 80s and 90s than late october.
Ahhh great!
Our summers on the east coast ends very strictly on labor day so an extention of pool closing & good shorts weather is always a luxury. Thanks!

If you don't care about doing Vegas glitz, then yeah that's sounds like a good plan but I heard they are doing F1 construction so you might need @Headache in a Suitcase to weight in on that issue.

I booked an airbnb at The Signature at MGM Grand. Much cheaper than booking directly with the hotel. Supposedly you check in and out at the front desk the same as if you booked directly.

Do you still need to pay for the resort fees though using that method?

I've seen charges like $120/night (Flamingo), if you book directly with the hotel.

That's not true. I'm not sure where you're seeing $120 per night, but it's incorrect.

The resort fee at Flamingo (and most CET hotels) is currently $45/night. Yes, that's still expensive. Typically you can get Flamingo for between 150 to 200 a night. So tack 45 on to that and you're talking 195 to 245 a night for a Friday/Saturday.

If you can get Signature for less? Hey, by all means. Make sure there aren't any additional cleaning fees tacked on there. But Signature is a nice property. Long walk to Strip if you care.

Parking near Sphere is supposedly very limited.

I'd can/Uber vs. drive.

Can one walk from the Signature MGM to the Park MGM & take that tram ending @ Billagio?

How many licks does it take to get the center of the underhang?

The GA line starts at the overpass and ends at the underhang.

so - The Tropicana.

It was already very "meh" - but some news over the last week should probably drop it lower.

they've signed an agreement to build a baseball stadium for the soon to be Las Vegas A's on the property. the property will be closing for construction in 18 to 24 months.

now sure - that's long after U2 will be gone. but staff are being notified - so there's an above average chance that a staff exodus will begin - with current workers looking for more stable employment at other casinos.

that will definitely impact service at the place.

so yea - i'd just avoid unless you have no other options. it's far away from The Sphere as it is - so, yea, stay somewhere else.

No resort fees. Sorry for the late reply.

So tomorrow 12 are all left over tickets on sale? But we expect platinum prices if any left right?
