total ipod emergency...help!

So, I upgraded to the new version of itunes last night. First mistake, I know. Then this morning, I go to use my ipod, and it's empty. Totally wiped clean. Nothing.

Somebody tell me if I should be freaking out or not, cuz I'm totally freaking.

Did you have your music on iTunes? Or did you only have your music stored on your iPod?

If it's the latter, that wasn't a great idea.

I had most of the music just on the ipod to save space on my computer. I had all of my u2 stuff on the computer, too, though.

I realized I did a backup not too long ago so I should be able to fix it, but it really sucks in the meantime!
