A song I wrote. A bit dark.

The Scorned

The spider web spun over lips touching, bloodsucking
Fever spikes out of control and it threatens of lions
Bowl into the fray and spin the surfaces sway
Hollowed out shell of a romance in violent
Strokes with a paintbrush and rusted like iron
Weather damaged in the rain, broken heart divides again

Smashed on the floor with your name etched in my wrist
Memories motion picture vivid
God help me forget

Razorblades wielded by Hurricane Girlfriend
Carved out my feeling through fissures in stone, bleeding lava
Destroy in its flood everything, the stain of the sear and the sting
Beautiful flowers wilt, wither, and die in the midsummer twilight
The scorn and the cyanide kiss off
The tearing of the seems, the words of betrayal still ring

Smashed on the floor with your name etched in my wrist
Memories motion picture vivid
God help me forget
And I’ll burn all of your letters
Cos your hurricane left me so bitter
And the graceful swans of never
Come crushing like your fist

Forget the sun, the moon and stars
The satellites remaining shards
The thoughts of love, the thoughts of hate
This bitter pill of swallowed fate
The castle walls come crashing down
The king and queen and princess drown
I’ve come undone my shadow fades
And everything we ever made we break

Smashed on the floor with your name etched in each wrist
Memories motion picture vivid
God help me forget
And I’ll burn all of your letters
Cos your hurricane left me so bitter
And the graceful swans of never
Come crushing like your fist
And taste like tastelessness
Devoured and remiss
Once upon a time
