I think Tom Cunningham's review back on page 14 got it right -- this is a solid leadoff song, a real nice addition to the Springsteen catalog.

Bruce sings this with a great intensity.

Strangely enough, the production and guitars almost sounds a bit like latter day Pearl Jam...

Cool song. I liked it but after all the hype I guess I was expecting something better. Guitarwise it seems to be in the same vein as Further On Up The Road from The Rising. Good stuff but I hope the rest is better. Loved to her Clarence playing, it was the best part I think.

It's a pure, straight ahead rocker, that's for sure. Perhaps this album will be like The River, with basic rockers mixed in with more contemplative tracks.

I've kept the Windows Media window open so I can keep going back and hearing this throughout the day. I think I've listened about 5 or 6 times now. It really rocks.

If the rest of the album is in the same vein, this tour is gonna smoke.
