judging from how they actually got the crowd to sing Still Haven't Found, it would've worked

my only surprise is that they didn't play a new song. and that EBW was played which was kinda weird

Sure, but catchy as fuck, and that can be ok at times. It certainly fit what they were trying to do here in connecting with a younger/cross-genre audience.
