Oh my God! It's almost as if they said this would happen!Wow. So despite Greg Caroll no New Zealand/Australia, Japan, and a mere 12 shows for the entire EU.
The baffling decisions of 2017 keep on coming.

Lolz ohhh StingSource?
I also don't believe JT Tour will last beyond the Sao Paulo shows... they must be planning Innocence and Experience for Australia. Then again, I wouldn't put it past them to do JT shows in Australia/NZ/Asia in early 2018 either. The fact that it's 31 years since the JT's release wouldn't make a bit of difference in their decision.
U2.com!! Where else would you get all your official up to date, completely trustworthy and reliable news?! Sheesh
What part of "this is the last Joshua Tree Tour show" did you not understand?

Probably when they said the same thing about Louisville.
Didn't they do the same thing for 360 and then added Pittsburgh?
Two things - got any sources for these claims guys?
Also, there is a big difference between adding a show and a whole leg...
My guess is the Australia /NZ / Asia tour will be stadiums and will contain a full performance of TJT. Naming and concept wise it will be a SOE / JT hybrid. There will be no acknowledgement or references to I&E and SOI since these are now too far ago.
All this "last show" talk is just semantics. It means last show for this touring cycle. They will deem the Australia / NZ / Asia leg to be a new tour due to the SOE linkage.
I also don't think North America will get any extra shows next year. Again supporting the "last show" talk.

But had they announced that there were no more before that one? I don't remember that
No you're right. You should start the Sydney GA line now.Don't think so...but they did go and announce a whole extra leg a few months later.
My point is this was the "final" US show, then they go an add a whole extra leg.
Followed by three years of silence ?Fall release and tour to start in oz next march. That's my prediction. Start in Australia,New Zealand,Japan and other Asian markets. Europe in the summer back to America to take us up to xmas 2018.
Done for JT. Great news for SOE, bad for old school Aussie/nz fans. If they do arenas here for EI early in the tour, it will be worthwhile for mine.
So can we all agree that Mercy is definitely on the album?
