Pretty much every car I've owned until recently was crap. Of course having to drive Mom's wagon with the "wood" on the sides to high school was embarassing at the time, but at least I had the satisfaction of knowing I didn't own it.
Unfortunately I did own a Chevy Sprint in college (the predecessor of the Geo Metro). It had a 3 cylinder engine (yes, I said 3). It wasn't in bad shape...until I had a little accident. I lost the back bumper cover and put a dent in the middle of the front bumper, so that both ends of the bumper bowed out a bit. Of course I didn't carry anything but laibility insurance on it, so I couldn't afford to fix it. My dad decided to help out one day though by building me a bumper cover for the back ... out of wood, painted black with reflector stickers on it! "Pimp My Ride" hillbilly style.
