Family get-together for New Year's Day, with foods representing both our father's and mother's family traditions: ham, cabbage, spinach, black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes, Swedish meatballs, and for dessert a yellow cake with white frosting and coconut in honor of our Uncle J.D.'s birthday--he would have been 100 years old today :love:
