My wife is in the family way (yay!). So I was listening to AB the other day, and it suddenly struck me: Zoo Station is about a baby being born.

So, here are the lyrics with my interpretation.

yes, I know it's a very 'loose' interpretation but it works for me, and that's the best part about U2 lyrics anyways.

I think your interpretation works I had never thought of the lyrics like that, but it does makes sense when you think about it.

The more I thought about your interpretation, the more I think I heard Bono say the same actually. That AB is also about being born and dying then. Zoo Station is similar to being born, LIB is the last step........ I'm pretty sure, I've read that somewhere, but i Haven't thought on it earlier........

In hindsight, it's a little off the mark, but it's interesting to see my state of mind at the time. The anticipation leads to a lot of "what ifs".... wild speculation of an impending (momentous) event can drive the imagination crazy - especially when fueled by U2 lyrics.

I can see where you're coming from with your interpretation, although I never thought about it that way. As always, U2 songs can mean many different things to different people.
