I love giving stuff, but often don't get a whole lot of stuff from other people. That works out well though as I can then buy what I want. 
Got:
-- mp3 player w/portable speakers
-- A portable cell phone charger (which will come in handy as my phone sometimes loses charge very quickly -- doesn't happen often enough for me to want to get a new phone though)
-- cash
-- and I did buy the couple pair of Sennheiser headphones I've been wanting. They are fantastic!
-- I've been told a cd (or two -- that part wasn't clear) is on the way. Looking forward to that.
Gave:
-- Nintendo DS Lite
-- mosaic coaster making kit
-- glass glob magnet making kit
-- various paints, pencils, coloured pencils, drawing paper
-- 3 mannequins (for drawing)
-- iridescent pastel set, metallic paints, watercolour paper blocks
-- tote bag
-- baby book
-- kids crafts kits (paper flower making, glass glob painting, foam modeling stuff, paint you own bowls)
-- a couple of gift cards (probably will add one more to that total)
-- several cds. a couple signed and personalised
-- a portable, rechargeable power pack (works with AC and USB)
-- potato chips (my sister loves a certain brand, but they aren't sold where she lives. The company though will ship them. )
-- several fleece and down throws
Also as a gift to my brother I'm going to take (and pay for) Spunky Butt (the kitten) to the vet to get neutered. That will probably be in January though.

But I'm not very patient with books in general.
