I know he's getting up there in age. My mom is always saying that I have to deal with the fact that someday he might not wake up. (It'd be nice if she didn't use it as ammo during fights tho...)
But I can't think that way. I mean, I'm well aware of the fact that no one lives forever, but that doesn't mean I should look at someone/something and think about them in terms of how much time have they got left. You can't predict things like that, you shouldn't think about things like that...
I don't look at my grandparents and think oh, they're older than the average canadian lifespan, better expect that from any time from now-on they could kick the bucket. Why should I think differently about my dog?
