PLEBA girls, what is it about the lead singers of rock bands?

I have a thing for the lead singers of Incubus, Linkin Park, Bon Jovi, Sugar Ray, U2, Matchbox 20, and the list goes on and on. I think I'm a lead singer addict. Larry is the only exception.

lead singers usually have the closest relationship between the band and the fans. they're right there, it's more emotional with them. plus, they seem more powerful, as if they carry the band. (sometimes they do, in U2's case they don't.) i think that's what makes them more sexually appealing. in today's market, record execs. usually want the lead singer to be the most attractive member of the band. they sell rock music like pop today.

mark from sugar ray and jon bon jovi are cuties.

I think the guy who becomes the lead singer is usually the guy with the most magnetism and that's why we are drawn to them.

Anyway.. I agree, the lead singers get regarded as the most important part of the band, when they are equal to the rest of the band in terms of importantness. And yeah, the record execs always want the lead singer to be the best looking. Blah. Looks aren't important. It's talent, charisma, personality, etc. that make up a great singer.

then: adam has a lot of magnetism and interacts with the audience fantastically!

As for Sting, he may not be with the Police any more, and he may be 50, but he is hotness itself. I personally think he's improved with age. Like many British guys, seemingly, he looked a little scrawny and even slightly effeminate when he was younger--to me--but now he has great muscles as well as everything else!

the frontman is the one that draws more attention from fans. the voice is one of the first things you associate with a band, of course in U2 it's Bono's voice, but also Edge's sound...it's unique to U2. Speaking for myself, I know I can pick up on a U2 song simply by listening to the melody of Edge's guitar.
