^man your flickr stream is amazing!
This is my third day as a happy Zeiss ZE 85mm f/1.4 owner. Man, I love this lens. Focus can be insanely tricky at times, but boy oh boy, it shines. I'm never buying zoom lenses again.
Took this, which has become my first explored flickr photo! (yay!)

So much sadness in those eyes
Great pics, Diemen
Fabulous shot! Love it. Well done.
And I'm a prime lens fan too.
I love the giraffe one, so soft.
What camera are you shooting with Diemen?
The old and venerable Canon 20D. The Gorilla pics were with a 24-70 f/2.8L, and the rest with the 70-200 f/4L.
Plus the D40X is so not bulky! When I went to Africa I had a point and shoot (my first camera) and it was bulkier than many of today's low end DSLRs and not half as good.
I miss seeing F-111s.
btw I submitted the photo to ABC news (Australia) and they ran with it..
The D40X isn't, but my 2 Sigma lenses he should take are:
10-20mm--over 1 lb.
150-500mm--over 4 lbs.
But seriously, the memories he will capture...
