Is it bad I only like Don't Stop Believin for the way Steve sings "Boulevard"?

I'm trying to explain Procupine Tree to a friend. I'm failing  He doesn't get the phrase "progressive metal."

Well, PT aren't progressive metal, so there's that too.

I had one of my friends ask her friends if they knew what progressive rock was.
She got a bunch of "I dunno"'s.

Metal + pink floyd isn't the best explanation, really.

And you read your email, damn you.

OMG, I don't know the name of this Green Day song just by---Oh, wait, It's Haushinka. Thought I was going nuts there for a minute.

The only PT songs that I would consider metal in style are Orchidia, Futile, Wedding Nails, Strip The Soul, and Anesthetize. Oh, and maybe a couple of other rarities like Mother And Child Divided too. Though the recent albums I think show a kind of prog rock take on the metal atmosphere and aesthetic.

BOOOOOOOOOOOO Kiffmeyer/Sobrante song. *skips* Tre, pls, iPod.
