Okay... here's my situation: I was a paid member in 04/05 4 the Vertigo Tour, but haven't really paid since. I still receive emails & my ID there is valid. If I pay 4 membership, do U think my tenure will be "recognized" as it pertains 2 the presale?

According to a post by Bajagirl (mod) at U2.com, if you've let the paid membership lapse you go to the back of the line.

which is why this seniority thing really sucks. it's totally inaccurate. there are two years since the site was launched that i haven't subscribed, basically cut many expenses to try to save money for a house. and i was a Prop member in the 90's.

Yes, very wishful thinking. And I thought I read somewhere, unofficially of course, that they would do Oakland/SD. But time will tell.

Yes - absolutley. Probably Vegas too. I am also hopeful that SD will show up at some point as well (3 closest shows to me), and I'm always up for trip to the Bay Area!

What are they going to do for the 2010 leg? There will be thousands of new people signing up to U2.com during the 2009 tour. Will there be enough tickets for the tour next year?

The opening day of presales not of the concert. I'm in California too, so I am assuming that we still have dibs on tix 3 days ahead of public when our shows go on sale, right???

According to the dates that were originally posted and then taken down, it's Rose Bowl on Oct. 25th. Although the venue isn't too bad, go save your parking spot NOW (ugh!).

So on the website it says "On Sale Soon" for the Toronto date. Is that for the pre-sale or for the public sale? I've been away a while (been sick for 9 days) so I'm a bit behind on whats been going on.

Also, is it too late for me to subscribe and get into the pre-sale?

Where do you see a Toronto Date? I don't see any Canadian dates on u2.com. I do see a mention of Vancouver in the email, but no date.

Hoo-boy.

Just like I expected: total chaos when it comes to presales, LiveNation, tour announcements, etc. It just gets worse and more complicated with each successive tour. I have no doubt that this 3 group tiered breakdown of presales will be totally screwed up.

You can bet those passwords will only be available for use ONCE - meaning you'll have to get all of your tickets in one shot. There's no way in hell LiveNation will be able to handle requests for multiple dates using the same passcode. Absolutely no way in hell. This means a flood of pissed off presale passcode holders who will be outraged that they didn't get to buy all 4 tickets.

I predict the butthurt will be epic. Just epic.

Just save your code for when your particular shows go on pre-sale. I'll be waiting for when Giants Stadium go up.

no, i still don't know. the one thing that has given me a small reason to hope is that i have an "A" in my presale code (which you can find under the "Tours" section at U2.com after you sign in), but i've heard conflicting reports on whether the letter in your code means anything.
