So that's a 65,8% sales drop in week 1-2. That's interesting to compare with, not?
do we have sales figures for week 2 in the Uk then ? Mike

YOUR WEAKEND TOP 10 CHART PREVIEW: Our Friday projection for next week’s chart looks as encouraging as the stock market this week…as long as you stop looking after the top three titles. After that, the drop-off is steep, to say the least. Here’s the snapshot:
Kelly Clarkson (RCA/RMG debut) 220-230k
U2 (Interscope) 150-160k
The-Dream (Def Jam/IDJ debut) 140-150k
J. Holiday (Capitol debut) 55-60k
Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 45-50k
Lady GaGa (Interscope) 40-45k
Nickelback (Roadrunner) 30-35k
Beyonce (Music World/Columbia) 25-30k
Jamie Foxx (J/RMG) 25-30k
The Fray (Epic) 25-30k
New Found Glory (Epitaph debut) 25-30k
nearly a 70% drop predicted. ouch!

"who dropped the ball?" but really, this was expected. the trouble starts next week when U2 fails to sell 75k
Oh please God let this not happen
But i keep banging on about it, to still sell more than 2 new releases in your second week is still good, imo the numbers just show how far album sales have actually fallen,
Don't freak out yet guys
Don't matter how much you say it. Don't freak out isn't an option.
without a hot single, u2 will be out of the top ten in the US in the next couple of weeks. magnificent isn't gonna cut it.
this album was supposed to "save" the music industry. in this regard, it's a flop already.
Lastly, even if this album reaches "Pop" type numbers, is that so bad? Again, given the economic and music climate of today's world, 1.5M copies is pretty good! U2 have nothing left to prove.
