Hi Miri - I'm working as it is about 12:00pm in my part of the world (California). Never been out of the country

Lila, California is my part of the world now too.
I'm originally from Holland.
Back in the days of my early youth (LOL), me and my then boyfriend (now husband) would drive from Holland to France each summer with in our head plans to go to the south of France.
Only to finally make it there the third time around (I think it was in '98).
Wonderful memories.
Definitely wanna go back there at some point.
Although it will be a quite different experience this time around.

Don't be sad about never having left the country.
America is beautiful too.
I  California!

It does indeed. Now I'm even more depressed. Thanks. Thanks a lot!

Sorry :reject: Would it make you feel better if I told you that it was full of little stones...? :D

Hey, you live in California... close to Malibu and the wine country

hey everyone,

Hello KUEF. Welcome.

So I get it out of my system and we prevent further arguments, I will just go ahead and tell you that the setlist sucked tonight. :D

That beach looks beautiful U2@NYC.

Kelly I have to correct you there.
The sea is beautiful.
The beach near Nice is full of little stones (not the correct English word for it, but I can't recall how to say it otherwise).
Very difficult to walk on while barefooted.
A little more to the westside of the Cote D'Azur, near St. Tropez, you have very nice sandy beaches.
Liked those better!

U2@NYC, where else did you go during your trip?
Thanks for posting those pics by the way.
I suddenly remembered that I have pictures of myself on the Nice beach, that even if they were digital, I'm sure they would end up like red crosses (x) here.
LOL

Isn't funny how were not like,

"I hope they play Pride again tonight. Keep the streak going."

"Don't stop playing Bullet."

And when we get the info. that these songs were played we cheer like crazy. Guess not.

What's that, 300 shows in a row with Pride?????

Hmm... I want to be excited about it....I really do.....

Good thing U2 didn't write any other songs worth playing....

I have a good friend from Belgium, and every year (seems like every few months) he's going back to different parts of Europe to visit family & friends. And to top it off, he has GA tix for NY in November (his wife is the fan). He may not make it, but still. I'm so jealous of everyone who gets to travel, etc. You are all very fortunate. Don't know how you ended up in N.Calif, which is very beautiful as well. I was born and raised in L.A., and moved about an hour north of it to buy a house & have a child (which was about 12 years ago). Couldn't afford to buy anything in the state now if I had to.

and for U2@nyc  and :lmao: at the comment to KUEF

yeah, of course, but there is such a thing as overplaying ANY song....
wouldnt know that i dont go to every show

so if we were supposed to do what U2 want us to do, we should have only heard the song LIVE about 7 times

I was in Nice last july! Amazing place! Beautiful beach and girls!!!! Really beautiful place!!! I wanna go back there some day!!

I don't think playing a rock concert with that heat is even healthy! :yikes:

 Pride period.
I don't care if they have played it in every concert since I don't know when.
I don't care if they continue to do so.
I don't think I'll ever get tired of that song.
I know others are, but that's their problem.

Jeez guy, you always say the exact same thing as if I and others haven't explained what we mean!?!?!

IMHO the song doesn't sound as good as it used to.

AND commenting on the setlist is not the same thing as commenting on what it must be like to be there....

Do you not understand or are you being disengenuous, because I have explained this several times and I have seen others do the same?

How big is the stadium? I have trouble imagining a stadium in a beach town .

I swear I really don't remember ever seeing a stadium there. I was only there for a couple of days I think. :reject: I can't imagine it either.
