I think we can safely bet that it will be a greatest hits tracklist for that album and I'm sure we'll get at least one of Desire/Angel. To be fair, if they're after a commercial success, that's exactly what they should do. I'm also not sure how radical the arrangements will be.
But, why not then have a second disc of "fan favourites" or more obscure tracks as a bonus disc for the fans?

But I believe the core of the song - or at least the core of it - dates back further than reported (“I don’t wanna wait no more” later became “I can’t wait any longer”) and this soundcheck has haunted me since the late 90s. Epic sounding. Mercy pales in comparison.

it's impossible to truly tell the quality of the song that was in transformers because the clip is so short and in the movie there's talking over it - but it's just another really weird marketing decision by them.
