Well, this is my first poem I am going to post here. Let me know what all of you think.
"to leave what I can't change alone"
I'm sick of being sad
just want to let all the sadness go
Break down the dam of my happiness
finally let the streams of jubilation flow
But the path to my loving bliss
is blocked by mental duress
Restraint by the insurmountable odds
like massive mountains upon your chest
Pressures of the world
even worse those of yourself
As if telling those in poverty
to surpass a millionaire's wealth
Each weakness always magnified
noticing each and every imperfection
Always their constantly starting back
because its the face of your own reflection
I wish to solve the problems of the world
but I can't even seem to fix my own
Just like wanting to have a perfect family
yet you don't even have the funds for a home
I'm searching paths for the answers
yet I don't even know if I'm on the right street
Looking blindly in the shadows for answers
and its just eroding away at your feet
Needing to know what is right
not asking just because you're to proud
Trying to hint to others that you need
by pretending to mistakenly say it out loud
I guess you could say the person I'm really asking
I'm asking if can solve all my problems on my own
To finally be a peace with my inadequacies
