I feel the same way about the album. Actually, I'd probably rate it as their second worst, with Showbiz being at the very bottom of the list. It still has a handful of great tracks though. I don't seem to like the Exogenesis stuff nearly as much as some do.

You should really see Exogenesis 1 live tho.. amazing stuff! Experienced it this week. The album doesn't do it justice trust me!

Let's just say that if you dig up all the Muse threads before the Twilight movies came out, their content would be considerably different than this, and you'd be surprised how many more people posted in the threads.

I mainly just like giving you guys crap, but honestly would enjoy a bit more music and a bit less Pleba content wise.

*cough* Joanna Newsom pics in Random thread *cough* I bet if Muse were an all-girl band you wouldn't complain about Pleba-esque content here at all

What I remember mostly about the early Muse threads is the endless Muse vs Radiohead bickering. I can't say I miss it.

Also, it seems that this thread is more female-dominated now, and broadly speaking I think that women are just much less interested in dissecting and analysing the music, at least to the degree that guys are.

And I guess I feel that there's only so much you can say about the music before it turns into repeating the same opinions over and over in slightly different ways, which is what happens in most long-running threads here. I know I've repeated basically the same things a few times. Again, maybe this is something that guys are a lot more interested in.

Apparently some Radiohead fans are as threatened by any other group with an even marginally similar sound getting more press than Radiohead as U2 fans are about U2. Actually, Radiohead fans though Coldplay was ripping them off even before U2 fans did. :shh:

The comparison made more sense on the first two albums, particularly since the producer who did The Bends produced the first 2 Muse albums. I still never thought they were "ripping them off" by any means though. I'm glad that argument has died off as well.

So apparently the same producer I mentioned before (John Leckie) also produced Winter Hill and 10:03 on Kingdom of Rust!

yes I saw that after I posted it. Sorry. I got excited when I saw the Doves association.

edited again to say:

Speaking of Doves, I finally found my Lost Sides cd over the weekend. I have been looking for it for years. Apparently I stored it with a bunch of other jewels under my bed in a box.

You have a bunch of jewels in a box under your bed?

I know whose house I'm going to rob.

Okay back to MUSE. I purchased their digital album the other night "Unintended" and well I thought that is all I purchased. This morning I received a dispatched notice that my order is being delivered to me via Royal Mail. So I guess I get the cd too? Anyone here made a purchase like this on their site?

I think this may be a burn, but I'd like to see it written two or three more times before I'm certain. Please assist.

Seriously though, hopefully you all know I'm just giving you all crap. If I ever make a sarcastic comment that offends, please tell me and I will post 5 hawt Muse pics for your viewing pleasure.

Does one have to go to the Muse site to buy such a thing?

...and if you want some perspective on this thread, I dare you to visit Pornogenic threads on the official Muse site. No man can leave them with their masculinity intact!
