I am not who you think you are
looks can be decided as to deceive
help can be at hand if only you need
the abstract gone if only you want

so let yourself go along alone
upon your own way home
wherever that may be
but just like the you, them and me,
that too is just perceived

hold yourself up high for all to see
prepare to duck as others take aim
with everything but your name
a construct to bring you down in shame

The less you think of others? perceptions
the easier you??ll find the path to reason
down the lonliest road to freedom

wow. i know you have been worried about not being concise in past poems, but I dont think you have much to worry about in this one! For such a short poem, this has a lot of thoughts running through it. Worrying about the way people see you, and then the defiance of that is portrayed as a good thing, but in the last line, you twist it again and put this not worrying about what others think in a negative light.

Good stuff....I'm STILL thinking hard about it, there's so many twists!
