Does "but" really appear that many times, or is the 2nd one an accident? (Forgive me, I haven't heard the song yet.)Queen Bee said:Did everything but murder but you and I
But love left a window in the skies

wonder why he names the song "window in the skies"? why would he use that minor lyric as the title? here's why:
he asks over and over again "can't you see what our love has done?" then at the end of the song (and in the title), he answers the question: "love left a window in the skies". the meaning of this is simple: love shows us the face of God. love is the evidence of God's truth. love is a window to God.
christian imagery is all over this song. think of the crucifixion ("the debt has been removed", "the stone it has been moved", "the shackles are undone")
you "can reach the sky" (sky=God) if "you let me in your heart" (if you learn to love).
this song is about God and love, and it claims that they are one and the same
