I also thought about it.
Very long actually. Making schemes on several sheets and long discussions with my girlfriend we came up with this:
side 1:
1. "Zoo Station"
2. "Even Better Than the Real Thing"
3. "One"
4. "Until the End of the World"
5. "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses"
6. "So Cruel"
7. "The Fly"
8. "Mysterious Ways"
9. "Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World"
10. "Ultraviolet (Light My Way)"
11. "Acrobat"
12. "Love Is Blindness"
side 2:
1. "Zooropa"
2. "Babyface"
3. "Numb"
4. "Lemon"
5. "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)"
6. "Daddy's Gonna Pay for Your Crashed Car"
7. "Some Days Are Better Than Others"
8. "The First Time"
9. "Dirty Day"
10. "The Wanderer"
UF-JT-Rattle and Hum. The "American" trilogy.
I don't think the albums sound all that great meshed together though. Zooropassengers is a better combination.
It is interesting that the U2 albums seem to almost fit into 'twos', isn't it?
Boy / October
War/ Unforgettable Fire
Joshua Tree / Rattle & Hum
Achtung / Zooropa
Pop / ?
ATYCLB / HTDAAB
No Line... / 2010 LP?
Pop kind of stands out, though. It doesn't really seem to have an evil twin. It's a twinless twin, like Elvis. No wonder U2 hate it.
War/TUF is about as much of a stretch as Pop/ATYCLB.
i was actually thinking of starting another thread linking Passengers/Pop, lol!
Boy / October / War
Unforgettable Fire / Joshua Tree / Rattle & Hum
