Made a quick stop by the site an hour ago. They didnt put the screen on the claw yet.

I saw a couple of fans hanging around there already :S. I'll be back in the afternoon to see what's up.

I saw some friends with numbers on their hands posted on FB. I guess I should head down as soon as I get into town to see if I can get a number. I'm trying to remain calm and zen about it, but I'm not having much luck.

:crack:

I am screwed!!! (I am not even going to be in Montreal until the evening hours tomorrow). What numbers were on their hands?

I took some pics of the claw this morning before going to work (i work 5 mins away from the Hippodrome), i will post them when i come home in about 3.5 hours from this post!

Be ready for some HD claw porn!

Heres some souvenirs from Foxborough on my b-day: 9/20/2009

:wave:Thanks for the Foxboro memories. My husband and I watched the people rush into the stadium towards the claw that day... I will look forward to your HD claw porn!

probably black marker is your best bet. it may be better to go with #17 or #21, i think you may get away with budding in line a little easier.

looks like a severe thunderstorm is rolling through montreal at the moment.

Hi guys, I'm a little confused, and so I have a few questions about the Montreal GA. This will be my first time in the GA.

I saw a few posts about getting the numbers on your hands. So now I'm confused, how does it work? Can we just go anytime to get a number on our hand, and then leave, and come back at like 6 pm and get your right spot on line?? I was under the impression that if you want a really good spot in line, you have to line up from like the night before or the morning of, and then you have to stay in line the entire time (with only small breaks). I'm going to the Saturday show, so say I wanted to get a phenomenal spot, then would I have to get there early morning and wait the entire day?

Four of us are going to the show, and the tickets were bought in a group of 3, and 1 individually. On the group of 3 tickets, it says "Regular 2" on the bottom of the ticket, and then indicates that it is Section: GA26. On the single ticket, it says "Splash" and Section: GA1924. I thought the GA was all freestyle seating, but why does it indicate on the tickets that there are separate sections. Are we all going to be able to stand together?

I appreciate all of your help, as you can see, I'm very confused! :)

The Evenko FAQ is showing that cigarettes will be allowed. So people will be allowed to smoke freely in GA and in the claw??? This is my first show outside the US (where security will stop someone if enough people complain), am I just gonna have to get used to it for a few hours each day?

The numbers on GA tix don't matter. That's just the ticket company's stuff. GA is GA unless you are Red Zone (which then you would know 'cause it cost $300).

If you are seeing Sat.'s show, as soon as you get in town go to the Hippodrome and find the line captain for night 2 and sign up. Usually, you just need to sign up, get a number and then return at 6 am the day of the show. You can hold spots for friends while you go off and shower or drop things back at your hotel, but everyone needs to show up to get a number, and then show up in the morning to be counted.
Check here or elsewhere online for updates.

If anyone has more or better info than this, SAY SO!!!

I'm a stone's throw from Montreal in Syracuse, NY. We got our work stuff done today, so tomorrow it's drive and hang out in Canada!!!

And Romi, you are a magnificent bastard for suggesting the pub that IS STUMBLING DISTANCE FROM OUR HOTEL!!! :happydance:

(p.s. I won't even punch you now. :D BTW--How's the leg?)

so this is also my first time in GA, and I heard that numbers have already been started for the friday show, but lining up isnt permitted at the venue until 8am, so how does the number system work exactly?

probably 1 and 2. neat huh? i'm going to write #1 on my hand too and bud in line at 3pm.

Relax, y'all. There are only about 30 ppl in line for Friday and fewer than that for Saturday. It's all good. :zen:
