For the copy protection, there are ways around it - search on the 'net. I am still skeptical of Sony CDs.

I don't want kitchensink suggestions to circumvent that Copy Control Crap. It's a lost sale in my situation. I refuse to buy such a crippled disc, even though it might play fine in my CD player and can be ripped to the computer. Instead, if I really want that album, I'll look to see if it's released somewhere else without the Copy Control Crap.

True - that was meant more if you(or someone else) already had purchased one and wanted to rip it. One solution on some CDs was to simply hold the Shift Key down while inserting the CD.
