The Fly
If I believed in God,
I’d thank him every day
For having the idea
To put you on my way,
I’d praise him on television
For he is the creator
Of my young heir and son
And his older sister,
And I’d pray during mass
For him to keep us fit
That we stand on the grass
And don’t lie under it,
And I’d confess myself too
For the untellable things
That I’ve been doing to you
And make you blushing,
I’d tell grace before dinner
For he gave us food,
And protects us from sinners
Of the neighborhood,
If I believed in God
I wouldn’t realize it’s you
Who made life ideal
For us all the way through.
I’d thank him every day
For having the idea
To put you on my way,
I’d praise him on television
For he is the creator
Of my young heir and son
And his older sister,
And I’d pray during mass
For him to keep us fit
That we stand on the grass
And don’t lie under it,
And I’d confess myself too
For the untellable things
That I’ve been doing to you
And make you blushing,
I’d tell grace before dinner
For he gave us food,
And protects us from sinners
Of the neighborhood,
If I believed in God
I wouldn’t realize it’s you
Who made life ideal
For us all the way through.
